The high rising red lanterns symbolize the arrival of the festival. The creation team transforms the big red lanterns into modern colorful ones to incorporate the novelty artistic sense on the old street. The lantern structure uses the bamboo rod used traditionally for drying the clothing. The old and environmental friendly material punctuates the spirit of caring.
The lantern pillars looking like the guards are straightly arranged on the old street lead the public to the old lanes of Liencheng Alley and Wangyeh Alley to share the holiday spirit and the respect to gods, temples, and the past. It is highly recommended that visitors should go to the second floor of Guangji Temple at the end of Wangyeh Alley where a good view of the beautiful alleys and creative festival arrangement can be seen.
