這件作品將東西方剪紙元素並置，讓「鏤空窗花」與「人形剪影」並存。藝術家的創作源自民間藝術，曾前往陜北追尋黃河民間藝術，亦曾探訪歐陸民間剪紙文化，擅長以剪紙文化實驗出具個人特質的演繹。藝術家觀察，剪紙雖然已經從現代生活消失，但是長久的歷史已經內化為我們的血液。我們適應著科技產物，溝通的形式變異，但是年節節氣依舊，生活的軌跡如常。正如月津港燈節每年皆在鹽水發光，只是形式更為當代，這件作品即呈現了剪紙新意。

This artwork places both oriental and western paper cutting element in “hollow window flower decoration” and “figure paper cutting.” The creation is inspired by the folk art. The artist visited Shanbei to search the folk art of Yellow River as well as that of Europe. The artist is good at interpret individual characters of paper cutting. As observed by the artist, although paper cutting has disappeared from the modern life, yet the long history has been internalized in our blood. With the advanced technology products, communication formats become very different, but we still celebrate the arrival of New Year and live in the traditional way like Yuejing Lantern Festival each year at Yenshui with the modern way of celebration. This artwork presents the new meanings of paper cutting.
