Yenshui is known to people as the town of beehive firecrackers. Each year, the Lantern Festival has been the most important festival in Yenshui. From Beidi Temple on the historical street of Ciaonan, beehive firecrackers are blasted during the pilgrimage via XInglung Bridge.
This artwork is installed on Xinglung Bridge with the attempt to portray the image of beehive firecrackers. With two materials, silver laser reflecting silk strap and LED light, the artwork is weaved on the two sides of the Bridge. The breeze during day time enables the strip to fly gently like the light of flying beehive firecrackers. At night, the golden LED light shines like the running beehive firecrackers. These two walls of abstract and concrete beehive firecrackers present the shining glory scene during both day and night time.
