台灣的美麗地理環境與特有的海島地形蘊含著豐富的生態物種，但由於現今過於強調工業與經濟發展的時代，我們在追求安穩生活的同時也將自己的自然家園作為交換的籌碼，人們對於生態保育也漸漸不關心了。粗首鱲便是一般我們所指稱的"闊嘴郎"也是台灣原生種溪哥，都分佈在河川的中下游之間，由於臺灣的河川環境、不如從前，要再看到溪哥群游的景象，越來越難。以溪釣溪哥的經驗，希望能夠喚醒台灣民眾對於生態保育的議題關注。

Opsariichthys pachycephalus, is a specie of fish we call it " wide mouth Boy" and also溪哥, a Taiwan native specie normally can be seen among the middle and lower reaches , because the river pollution problem in Taiwan,it is hard to see a fish of 溪哥 anymore . experience to river fishing , Hoping this fishing experience in recent Taiwan can evoke more concern for ecological conservation issues .
